HXE Review

Published:

3-HO-2-Oxo-PCE, widely known as HXE, is a substance that’s chemically related to ketamine. As far as pharmacological properties are concerned, we have limited data due to this drug’s novelty. In this article, we’ll explore everything we do know about HXE, including general information, history, dosage, user reviews, and potential side effects.

General Information on HXE

We’ll start off this research chemical review with general information about HXE. This substance is a synthetic dissociative drug. Like ketamine, it’s part of the arylcyclohexylamine class. It’s become popular recently thanks to its unique dissociative effects and euphoric properties. The HXE research chemical is chemically similar to other dissociative drugs like ketamine and PCP. Even so, it has a distinct pharmacological profile.

HXE is known for inducing dissociative and hallucinogenic effects. These effects vary in intensity depending on the dosage and mode of administration. The drug can be administered orally, nasally, through vaporization, or as a suppository. HXE is still relatively new, and its long-term effects on the human body are not well-known.

History of HXE

Next in our HXE review, we’ll cover history. The first reports of HXE’s existence are just a few years old, dating back to 2019. Around that time, it was discovered as a new dissociative drug during a routine laboratory test. Since then, HXE has gained popularity among drug users due to its effects and lack of regulation in many countries. Many have placed it on their lists of legal highs because, in some countries, like the United States, it’s not technically illegal. However, it’s also not on the list of legal drugs in the US or other countries, so it’s in a gray legal area.

We believe that HXE was created as a research chemical. It was likely developed as a potential anesthetic or analgesic (painkiller) medication. However, the drug’s dissociative and euphoric effects have made it more popular recreationally.

Dosage and Administration

Next, we’ll cover the dosage and administration of the HXE research chemical. These factors significantly affect the intensity and duration of the drug’s effects. Since HXE is usually sold as a powder, it’s measured on a scale for accurate dosing. Dosage can range from around 30mg to 130mg, depending on the user’s experience and tolerance.

Oral Administration

This is the most common mode of administering HXE. Usually, users mix it with water or other liquids and simply drink it. The onset of effects is slow, taking between 30 minutes to 2 hours, and can last up to 6 hours.

Nasal Insufflation

Nasal insufflation, or “snorting,” is another standard mode of administering the HXE research chemical. The drug is ground into a fine, chalky powder and snorted through the nostrils. Users report that it’s rancid, bitter, and stings as it’s snorted. This administration mode has a faster onset of effects, though. The effects are felt within 5 to 15 minutes, but the duration of effects is shorter, lasting 2 to 4 hours.

Vaporization

“Vaping” involves heating the drug to a temperature that vaporizes it, then the vapor is inhaled. The onset of effects is almost immediate, taking 1 to 5 minutes, and the effects may last up to 4 hours.

Redosing

Redosing with HXE is possible but generally not recommended. If a user wishes to redose, it’s best to wait at least 2 hours after the initial dose to avoid overdosing. Redosing too quickly can lead to undesirable side effects like anxiety, paranoia, and confusion.

User HXE Reviews

User reviews of HXE are generally positive. Many users report euphoria, dissociation, and an increased sense of creativity. However, some users have reported negative effects, such as anxiety, paranoia, and confusion. With so little information on this new drug, it’s almost impossible to predict the exact effects any given user will experience. Overall, the drug’s effects are said to be somewhat similar to those of DCK and MXE.

Onset of Effects

The onset of HXE effects depends on the administration method. Oral administration has the slowest onset, taking between 30 minutes to 2 hours. Vaporization has the quickest onset, taking 1 to 5 minutes. Nasal insufflation has a medium-paced onset of around 5 to 15 minutes. The onset may begin with physical sensations like dizziness or sensitivity to the touch.

Dissociation

Users of HXE often report experiencing a profound sense of dissociation from their bodies and surroundings. This dissociation can manifest as feelings of detachment, numbness, or a sense of being outside oneself. While other drugs cause feelings of dissociation, HXE’s experience is reported to be particularly intense. Users may feel as though they are watching themselves from a distance or observing their actions from a third-person perspective. Some users describe HXE dissociation as a feeling of being “disconnected” or “floating” in a dreamlike state.

Hallucination

HXE users have reported experiencing visual and auditory hallucinations while under the influence. These hallucinations are often described as vivid and intense. Visual hallucinations may include geometric patterns, colors, and textures. Some users experience distorted or altered perceptions of their environment, such as objects appearing to move or changing shape.

Euphoria

The HXE research chemical can lead users to feel intensely happy and comfortable. They may feel inclined to explore the depths of their feelings and examine their innermost selves. Euphoric feelings may lead users to feel at peace and at one with the world. Some users report feeling as though they’re wrapped in the drug’s warmth and light.

Anticlimax (“Comedown”)

After the peak effects of HXE wear off, users may experience an “anticlimax” or “comedown.” This phase can last for several hours and may involve feelings of fatigue, confusion, or anxiety. Users may also experience headaches, nausea, or other physical discomforts.

Potential Side Effects of HXE

While many users report positive experiences with HXE, the drug undoubtedly has potential side effects to be cautious of. These may include the following:

  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Dizziness and confusion
  • Anxiety and paranoia
  • Headaches and muscle tension
  • Increased heart rate and blood pressure
  • Blurred vision and dilated pupils
  • Impaired motor skills and coordination

So, while HXE may provide unique and enjoyable experiences for some users, it is important to be aware of the potential risks and side effects associated with the drug. As with any substance, it’s crucial to use HXE responsibly and with caution.
